Becky always had a passion for the arts and started dancing at 5 years old. She began dancing competitively at an early age and knew that dance would always be a part of her life. She continued her love of dance through her college years in Boston, but stopped dancing shortly after and truly felt that something was missing. She tried other fitness classes, gyms and finally two years ago discovered barre. Instantly she felt at “home”. After becoming certified in October of 2015, Becky decided to open her own studio…and Releve was born. Releve was created with a very specific concept in mind – for every client to walk in and walk out of the studio comfortable in their own skin. An empowering environment that challenges clients in a positive and inspiring way. “I am truly blessed for my instructors and clients that have helped to make that vision a dream come true.”
Jen’s love of dance and fitness began at an early age. Jen danced competitively as a child and took her first aerobics class as a teenager. She has been a groupd fitness instructor for over 20 years, teaching everything from step to kickboxing. When she took her first barre class 3 years ago, she was hooked! “I love the combination of core work, exercises at the barre, light weights and stretching. You really work your entire body with little or no impact. Plus barre class is challenging and fun for all fitness levels! The small studio environment is an intimate, personal setting where we support one another.” Fun fact about Jen: she is a former New England Patriots Cheerleader!
Jessica took her first barre class soon after the studio opened and she loved it. She knew the mission of Releve and the opportunity to renew her commitment to fitness as part of a healthy lifestyle would be a perfect fit. Not long after becoming a client, Jessica knew she wanted to be a part of the positive atmosphere and empower other women as an instructor. As the executive director of Girls Inc. of Taunton, a non-profit agency that inspires all girls to be strong, smart and bold, Jessica has years of leadership experience and knowledge of the promotion of healthy lifestyles, positive body image and confidence development. Jessica loves empowering Releve clients to feel comfortable in their own skin while they gain strength and the confidence to embrace new physical challenges with each class.
Renee spent most of her time growing up in a dance studio. She strived to push herself year after year, becoming part of performance and competitive groups. Her favorite was lyrical ballet, which helped fuse her love of music, expressive choreography, and the art of performance. She also spent years cheerleading and taking gymnastics classes, later becoming a youth gymnastics instructor at The Jungle Gym at Bridgewater Fitness Center. Continuing her love of health, physiology and fitness, she went on to earn her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing in 2006. During that time she began to develop an interest in wellness, homeopathic medicine, meditation, mindfulness based stress reduction, and treating the body as a whole. Renee worked closely with her patients always focusing on the connection between preventative health and quality of life, as well as, doing things you are passionate about in your daily life. That passion was always dance so when Renee took her first Barre class, she knew she had found a way to maintain her health, her strength, and most importantly her soul. She became an Instructor in March of 2016 and since has gone on to incorporate mindfulness practice and meditation into her Barre classes with focus on breathing, balance, proper form, wellness and self-care.
